Betsabe

~ 2011~

The figure of Betsabe is holding a hand of four 7's

and one Ace. She is pleased. Vurkovitsky created a
series of fairly large tabletop sculptures, beginning

in the1970's. Betsabe measures 23 inches in height
by 20 inches wide. She is magnetic, vibrating

with intense energy.

A phantasmagoric nude in perpetual harmony, Vurkovitsky's ability to give sensuousness to the
robust female form summons a range of emotions. Betsabe embodies Ricietl's mystical, mysterious
thinking...and mirrors society's obsessions.
